Opening Ceremony
Sergeant at Arms Ron Short marched the colors and the Honor Guard to the ceremony location. Commander Harwood then led the members in a hand salute. Chaplain Burrus Jones offered a prayer to honor our nation and its flag. Commander Harwood and Vice-Commander Roy Burnette conducted an inventory inspection and order for the disposal process. Vice-Commander headed up the detail for the processing of each flag that was presented for disposal and received assistance from Harold Hensley, Burrus Jones, Ron Short, and Howard Rohner.
“Ole Glory,” may these ashes always remind us of the many sacrifices our service men and woman have made for the cause of freedom and that we may always live free in America!
